Tileset animation editor: Problem with last animation "step"

This is my problem:

The last step/frame always looks like this when I try to add a new 8 frame animation to my cave tileset (tileset 37). I don't think copying my animation frame over this is safe.
It doesn't happen when I choose 6, 7 or 9 steps, but always with 8.
The animation needs 8 frames to look good.. Any way to solve this problem?

I just used 9 frames for now. Last time I saw something that looked like this was a while ago, and I think it was only one 8x8 block at the end, but when I overwrote it with my animation it crashed the game. Haven't tested it again now, but I don't have to since I found a way around it.
Just out of curiosity, are you using JPANs engine too?
