This problem is related to NDS ROM hacking so I think I can post the problem in this section. 
(Though I don't know DS hacking and I am just testing it for my friend who wanted to learn DS map hacking)
As we all know, along with Nintendo Nitro SDK there are plugins for 3dsmax6, maya7, etc. I use Win8 and run a virtual machine of Winxp. Although I think I follow every step written by Nitendo in the Setup Guide, The batch file returned errors and the plugin cannot be installed. The Operating system should be right as I successfully installed the 3DSMAX plugin and was able to export the .imd files for Nintendo games.
